Description
In 2024, 2025 and 2026 the Viking Orion sails from Auckland to Bali over 31-days.
Built after an earthquake in 1931, Napier's “main street” design and art deco create a city unlike any other in the world. Dunedin's neighbour, Port Chalmers, has a thriving arts scene, inspired by its setting. Across the water, the distinctive Harbour Cone summit rises on the Otago Peninsula. Tasmania's preserved architecture dates to Georgian and Victorian times, and traditional pubs transport visitors back to Old England. Dock in Sydney, where the history of ex-convicts and sailors who wandered among buildings made of clay and wood, thatched roofs or locally quarried sandstone is woven into the city's thriving centre.
With a limited capacity of 930 guests, the Viking Orion is an intimate ship. Freshen up at the on-board hair salon, workout at the fitness centre, or spend some money at the shops.
To eat, Manfredi's Italian restaurant, the Chef's Table, and the Kitchen Table make for an evening of excellent cuisine and have some drinks at the bar to end the evening.
