Wallagoot Gap is a secluded beach located in the Bournda National Park in Tathra, Australia.
It is a 50-meter long beach bordered by 30-meter cliffs, creating a dramatic and unique character.
To reach Tathra, visitors can fly to Sydney or Canberra and then drive approximately 5 hours from Sydney or 3 hours from Canberra. Once in Tathra, they will need to pay $8 in cash to enter the Bournda National Park where the beach is located. Parking is available within the park, but national park fees apply.
Besides visiting Wallagoot Gap, visitors can explore the many tracks in the Bournda National Park for a longer visit. Tathra also offers other attractions such as beaches, bushwalking, and sumptuous seafood. There are options like Kianinny, a protected bay for swimming and snorkeling, or a range of beaches in nearby national parks. The mouth of the Bega River at the northern end of Tathra Beach is another popular spot for various water activities. Visitors can also take the Tathra Headland Walk that links to the Mogareeka Inlet.
The best time to visit Wallagoot Gap and Tathra is during the summer months of December to February when the weather is warm and sunny.
