Warren Conservation Park

Warren Conservation Park, previously known as Warren National Park, is a wildlife reserve turned conservation park located in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia.

It covers three land sections in the Hundred of Para Wirra and one section in the Hundred of Barossa. The park was proclaimed as a wildlife reserve in 1966 and later became the Warren National Park in 1967. It was reconstituted as the Warren Conservation Park in 1972 and currently covers 3.64 square kilometers.

The park features a hilly terrain with an annual rainfall of over 750mm. Its dominant vegetation consists of Eucalyptus obliqua and E. goniocalyx, with a heath understorey. Other scattered eucalyptus species can also be found. The park is home to the western grey kangaroo and the threatened bird species Zoothera dauma. It also contains unique geological exposures of a newly discovered unconformity.

Warren Conservation Park is classified as an IUCN Category III protected area and was previously listed on the Register of the National Estate. Visitors can enjoy hiking and taking in the natural scenery of the Adelaide Hills. It is important to stay on designated trails to protect the park's habitat. Visitors should bring their own supplies for safety and comfort during their visit.
