Description
The Waterhole Cafe is a 150-seat cafe located in the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, New South Wales.
It features an African-inspired design with rammed earth construction. The cafe is the newest precinct in the zoo, located halfway around the zoo circuit. It is an open-style cafe with an outdoor seating area. Visitors can enjoy a long lunch and choose from a variety of food and drink options, including gourmet sandwiches and coffee. The cafe is family-friendly and includes a water play area for kids to cool off and have fun during the hot summer months. It is conveniently located near animal habitats, making it a great place to take a break during a visit to the zoo. The Waterhole Cafe is a joint project between the NSW Government and Taronga Conservation Society, with a budget of $10.2 million. It provides a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a meal or a drink while taking in the beautiful surroundings of the Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
