The project will cost AUD546 million and once fully operational, the 123 turbines at Canunda and Lake Bonney wind farm development will generate almost 300 megawatts of energy - this is equivalent to one eighth of South Australia's energy needs. Along the drive, you will have an unforgettable firsthand experience of the wind farm and its impressive turbines.

As you proceed along the tourist drive, you'll also pass South Australia's largest fresh water lake - Lake Bonney. The lake stretches over 7km and is a popular spot for fishing, birdwatching and water sports. The calm waters provide a tranquil setting, perfect for picnics and relaxation.
