Wordplay wines are made by proprietors Fiona Donald and Matthew Pick, two talented and passionate winemakers who love what they do.

Whether it’s a Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon or Shiraz from their estate vineyard or a Pinot Noir from Yarra Valley you’re searching for, Wordplay wines express Fiona and Matt and their knowledge of winemaking and vineyards.

Twenty-five years ago, Matthew and Fiona fell in love with the Barossa and its community. So much so, they chose to raise their family here. They also happen to believe the region is the ideal place to produce the red wine styles they admire.

Matt and Fiona took a leap of faith some years ago to buy a vineyard of their own and have been learning from the ground up how to produce wine they want to share with friends.

After 12 years, they bottled their first vintage – wines that reflected the potential they saw in the vineyard all those years ago.
