Description
The Yackandandah Gorge Scenic Walk allows visitors to explore a historic gorge that was built during the Australian Gold Rush.
The gorge offers stunning views of waterfalls and trees along the meandering creek. The trail is moderately difficult, requiring visitors to be sure-footed and moderately fit. There is an alternative entry point for those who are unable to walk the entire trail. For those looking for a longer hike, a trail accessible from Yackandandah Creek is available. Gold panning is no longer allowed at the gorge, but licenses and maps for panning can be obtained from the Visitor Information Centre.
