Mount Isa Region art galleries and exhibitions

The Mount Isa region in Queensland is home to a few notable art galleries that showcase a diverse range of artworks from local and regional artists. Admission is free for all visitors, and the gallery is open daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, except on major holidays. The gallery is proud to present the works of various talented local artists, such as Chernee Sutton, Brooke Sutton, Cungelella Art, Margaret Campbell, Anna Kehoe, Nancy Wing, Mariana Campbell, Catriona Fitzgerald, Leslie Bannah, Rita Murr, and Priscilla Williams. Another art gallery in Mount Isa is Gallery 29, featuring a wide variety of exhibitions, including works by local and national artists.

In addition to these galleries, Mount Isa also offers other attractions such as the Outback Park, an extensive creative landscape with a central lagoon surrounded by native plants, and the Riversleigh Fossil Centre. At the Fossil Centre, visitors can explore Australia's prehistoric past and learn about the creatures that once roamed the rainforests.
