Dangarsleigh attractions

Dangarsleigh, New South Wales, offers a picturesque escape with its notable attraction, the Dangars Falls Picnic Area. Located on the Northern Tablelands, on the northern edge of the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, this site provides a stunning bush setting with views of deep ravines and gorges. During spring, the area is adorned with colorful wildflowers, and after rain, the mighty falls plunge 120m into the ravine, creating a spectacle of rainbows and mist. Visitors can engage in various activities, including exploring the wildflowers, marveling at the falls, and enjoying a relaxing time by the nearby river. Hiking enthusiasts can also take on the McDirtys walking track, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and families alike.

To reach the Dangars Falls Picnic Area, visitors can take the Waterfall Way from Armidale and Dorrigo, with the journey taking approximately 30 minutes from both locations. Once at the falls, guests can park their cars near the picnic area and access it by foot.

In addition to the Dangars Falls Picnic Area, the area is also home to the Dangarsleigh Falls, a seasonal waterfall near Armidale. While the Dangars Falls was supposed to be an impressively tall waterfall, its water flow can vary, and it's advisable to check its status before planning a visit.
