Adelaide scenic lookouts

Adelaide, South Australia, boasts a variety of scenic lookouts that offer stunning views of the city and its surroundings. Some of the top lookouts include Mount Lofty Trail Lookout, located near Leawood Gardens southeast of the CBD. This popular 8.2km walking track offers wildlife encounters along the way.

Anstey Hill (Yellowtail Loop) Lookout, just a five-minute drive from Tea Tree Plaza, around 35 minutes northeast of Adelaide's CBD, is accessed via the 7.5km Yellowtail Loop. This lookout includes steep climbs and sensational views over the Adelaide Plains. Seaview Loop Lookout, a 2.2km, 1-hour return loop trail, offers amazing views over Adelaide and is suitable for mountain biking.

Hallet Cove Boardwalk features two beautiful walking trails, the Glacial walk along the sugarloafs, and the Hallet Cove boardwalk trail. Both trails are fairly easy, although the trail along the sugarloafs has many stairs and a steep incline. Waite Conservation Park offers one of the best views looking over Adelaide, perfect for watching the sun go down. The trail is quite a steep climb to the top of the mountain but well worth it for the views.

In addition to these lookouts, Adelaide is surrounded by 700 hectares of greenery across 29 parks, providing visitors with a mix of rugged and wild landscapes and well-manicured gardens to explore.
