Fraser Island, also known as K'gari in the local Butchulla (Badjala) language, is a World Heritage-listed island located along the southeast coast in the Wide Bay–Burnett region of Queensland, Australia. It is the largest sand island in the world, spanning 1,840 km2 (710 sq mi) with dimensions of roughly 123 km (76 mi) in length and 22 km (14 mi) in width.
