Wangaratta-City waterfalls

Wangaratta, located in Victoria, Australia, is surrounded by beautiful natural attractions, including several stunning waterfalls. Two notable waterfalls in the area are Paradise Falls and Briens Gorge. Paradise Falls, a picturesque spot just a 20-minute drive from Whitfield, can be accessed by a 2WD vehicle. A short walk from the car park leads to the base of the waterfall, offering a breathtaking view. Picnic facilities are available at the car park for visitors to enjoy the serene beauty of the area.

Briens Gorge, located within Warby-Ovens National Park, is a unique waterfall that becomes visible only after heavy rain. The water flows over rocks for approximately 25-30 meters before disappearing at the base, resurfacing in nearby springs. The Gorge Walk provides views of the waterfall and the rugged countryside surrounding it. Visitors should be cautious near the waterfalls as swimming can be dangerous due to submerged rock ledges and slippery surfaces. It is recommended to enjoy the views, take photos, and have a picnic to fully appreciate these natural wonders.
