This home showcases Core Developments' ability to think outside the box, and build a home that not only reflects individuality and sense of luxury, but one that also gives a practical solution to everyday living.
The south-east facing home is positioned on a 820sqm site, and was designed by Chindarsi Architects to bring in the winter light, while keeping the harsh sun out in summer. It also set out to optimise the views of the city and Herdsman Lake via the large balconies at the front and rear.
Several living areas were requested, including two master suites to accommodate the changing stages of a growing family. The construction
was completed within 12 months and on budget, resulting in a very happy client. Annie Benson Interiors put together the final touches to complete the vision.
At the front of the home, a large pivot front door opens up to the entrance hallway that extends passed a single spine staircase, through to the spacious kitchen with Caesarstone benchtops and Tasmanian blackwood timber-veneer cabinetry.
A separate scullery is discretely placed behind the kitchen to offer the owners additional bench space for entertaining. High ceilings extend throughout, as do polished plaster feature walls, and stone flooring to the ground floor and wet areas.
On the first floor, blackbutt flooring connects the living zones and bedrooms, and the parents' retreat with kitchenette.
A unique rotating shoe-storage system was added to the master bedroom's walk-in 'robe for further luxury.
Other specifications met were the inclusion of double-glazed windows, high-security windows and doors, high-thermal insulation, smart wiring, a built-in barbecue area, designer pool, and dual hot-water systems.
