On September 21, the winners of the 17th Lester Prize for Portraiture were announced. Chosen from over 900 incredible entries, the [40 finalists](https://www.lesterprize.com/gallery-the-lester-prize-for-portraiture/the-lester-prize-for-portraiture/2023-2/) and five winners of the Lester Prize will be on display at the Art Gallery of Western Australia until November 26. Although nothing compares to seeing them in person, take a peek at the amazing artwork from some of Australia's most talented emerging artists below.
