The recent refurbishment of Busselton haunt The Equinox is as fresh and inviting as the foreshore views on its doorstep.
The Equinox is a restaurant, alfresco bar and takeaway joint overlooking the historic Busselton Jetty, with 180-degree sweeping views of the beautiful Geographe Bay.
In 2015, the family-owned business undertook a major refurbishment, and now incorporates a larger restaurant, function areas, alfresco bar and a brand new takeaway service with all-year-round dining.
The refurbishment made use of historic jarrah timber sourced from the recent restoration of the 150-year-old Busselton Jetty, so a core part of Busselton's history could become an important part of the design. The timber is a key feature in the outside bar, and has been used to clad metal structural beams.
The venue's unique design allows the team to cater for all types and sizes of functions, such as weddings, birthdays and business seminars, in private or non-private settings. The function spaces are further complemented by state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, with the option for hosts to play their own music for their function or gathering.
For more relaxed soirees, guests can sit in the alfresco under the heritage fig trees, and enjoy food and drinks while soaking up the spectacular views. On Sundays, this space comes to life with the venue's popular Sunday sessions from 4.30 to 7.30pm.

Where | Located at the Jetty End of Queen Street, just outside the Busselton CBD. The sweeping views of Geographe Bay make the location relaxed and beachy. In the evenings, enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets you will see anywhere in the world.
Numbers | The venue's small boardroom or private dining can hold 14 people. Any size of function up to 200 people, whether inside or out, private or not private, can be catered for.
Food | The chefs offer all types of food from canapes and tapas, to steaks, pizzas, platters and buffet or set-menu options. The style of the menus is Modern Australian cuisine, with an international twist.
Drink | Ten beers are on tap, including local craft beers. Margaret River and Geographe wines and delightful cocktails, served to your liking, are also available.
