Designed and built by Giorgi Exclusive Homes, this stunning abode was brought to life by the interior-design and furnishing expertise of Ultimo Interiors.
When building a home of a high calibre, such as this City Beach residence, it makes sense that the space should be completed with quality furnishings that are in perfect sync with the material finishings.
Enraptured by this year's Milan show trends of cool blue tones and warm greys against timber, the client had selected key pieces straight from the exhibition, and moulded the palette of the home into the furniture pieces, replicating key
line work, form and finishes.
The unique positioning of the home and elevated living space made for the ultimate resort-style feeling, with over-scale sliding doors pulling the outdoors in.
The interiors had to fulfil this relaxed ease of resort calmness, while still entertaining a level of luxury in finishes, and unparalleled design authenticity.
A juxtaposition of elegant curves and solid forms was another key influencer
in furniture selection. As such, there is a tapestry of subtle cross-references, from the raw solid edge of the dining table in Canaletto Walnut, to the double curve in the barstool back rests, and the walnut beams running the length and breadth of the Rolf Benz Dono modular sofa.
Stone finishes to built-in details were mirrored in coffee tables in leathered marmo grigio. The large-scale glazed walls were referenced in the dining table bases on the Cattelan Italia IKON table, where extra-clear glass finishes make the
tabletop seem to float in the space.
Upstairs, the Beso pendant light by local designer Adam Cruickshank, echoes
the curved blade wall running through the length of the secondary living space.
