Moree Plains parks

Moree Plains, New South Wales, is home to a variety of beautiful parks and gardens that offer a welcoming oasis for travelers and residents alike. Some of the notable parks in the area include Mary Brand Park, located on the banks of the Mehi River and named after Moree's first storekeeper and hotelier. It features century-old fig trees and is an ideal spot for picnics and relaxation. Another park is the Anzac Centenary Park, opened in 2015 in an area of historical significance, offering a peaceful setting for visitors to enjoy.

Jellicoe Park covers an extensive area in the central district of Moree, bordered by the Mehi River and hosting the Moree Markets on the first Sunday of each month (excluding January). Max Wales Memorial Park, situated beside the Moree Services Club on the banks of the Mehi, pays tribute to the memory of Max Wales, a prominent figure in the Moree community. In addition to these parks, Moree Plains Shire is known for its towering eucalyptus, majestic purple jacarandas, stately Moreton Bay figs, and burnished-orange Silky Oaks that dot the lush green grass of the parks and gardens. Moree is also home to the Moree Regional Botanical Gardens, showcasing a diverse range of plants and flowers.
