What's on in Cessnock Surrounds

In the Cessnock Surrounds of New South Wales, visitors can experience a range of arts and lifestyle events. One such event is "artefact," the inaugural exhibition of Performance Arts Culture Cessnock (PACC). This exhibition pays tribute to the artistic legacy of the late Uncle Les Elvin and showcases works by four renowned artists with ties to the Wonnarua Nation and surrounding Country. Running from Tuesday, 17 October until Sunday, 3 December 2023, "artefact" offers a unique opportunity to engage with the artists and enjoy canapés and bubbles. Vicki Sienczuk and Jenna curate the exhibition.

Alongside "artefact," other fine arts events are upcoming in the area. These include "Kids Be an Artist for a Day," "Art Canteen Wild Learning," and "Adults evening painting Studio (A Summer Shorties series)." These events cater to both children and adults, providing opportunities to explore creativity and engage with the local arts scene.

Performance Arts Culture Cessnock (PACC) is a premier destination for live entertainment and culture in the Hunter Region. The venue hosts a diverse range of events, including theatre productions, dance performances, live music, exhibitions, and workshops. With such variety, PACC caters to a wide audience with different artistic interests.

The Cessnock area is also home to several art galleries, such as Mount Pleasant Wines, Emma's Cottage Vineyard Cellar Door Gallery, and Wollombi Sculpture in the Vineyards. These galleries offer additional opportunities for art enthusiasts to explore and appreciate local creativity.
