Description
A night of beautiful music in White Gum Valley with gorgeous folk harmonies of Oceanique, plus The Night Parrot Choir, and Tom Brown.
Bring a cushion or rug, some refreshments, a friend or neighbour.
Hailing from deep south WA, Oceanique combine close harmonies, wonder and warm melodies, like staring up at a big blue country sky. Twins Maddy & Jess craft music rich in folk storytelling tradition with seamless blood harmonies and reflective lyrics. Awarded Folk Alliance Australia’s ‘Youth Artist of the Year’(2022) & Port Fairy Folk's ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’(2024). This will be a special chance to be transported by Oceanique.
The Night Parrot Choir is a group of locals who share a love for the power of music, to take us on a journey of harmonious sounds through a rich tapestry of musical pieces. Masterfully led by singer/songwriter Anna Wallwork, the Night Parrot Choir promises to bring musical enchantment.
Tom Brown brings his lo-frills, hi-honesty bedroom indie sound of layered guitars and earnest vocals, fresh off his excellent debut release 'My Holland Street Heart' (2024). Tom will be joined by Ryan Borrett (Brushtail) on second guitar, fresh from their own collaborative 'Happenings EP' (2024) that combined Brushtail’s production palette with Tom's undeniable knack for melody, joined by a common thread seeking honesty, joy, and coming back to the here and now.
