Description
The Avon Descent is WA's iconic paddle and powerboat sporting event.
Don't miss out on this perfect opportunity for family and friends to get outdoors and experience the gathering of local community and excitement! Enjoy free entry, rides, entertainment, spectacular food and race commentary! Competitors at any skill level are welcome to challenge the Avon and Swan Rivers in a variety of paddle and power craft in an exciting two-day challenge over 124 gruelling kilometres.
FIND YOUR COMPETITON:
Completing the full, two-day 124-kilometre course is the goal for most Avon Descent competitors, but there are two shorter course options for those wanting to participate in the Avon Descent, but not wanting to complete the 124km course. If you don’t want to do the Avon Descent on your own, consider getting a team of mates together and completing the course as a relay! There are opportunities for teams of 2 and teams of 4 available.
FIND YOUR FESTIVAL:
Four local governments will each hold their own riverside Festival over the course of the weekend, offering a vast range of family-based activities and entertainment.
