Description

Located between Bare Point and Wilsons Headland, Stony Beach is a picturesque but slightly challenging destination.

As you step onto the beach, you'll find that it's more challenging than it looks. The wave energy from both rocky flanks makes swimming difficult, and it's hard to determine what lies beneath the surface. Despite these challenges, Stony Beach offers an isolated beauty that is free from crowds.

There are plenty of things to see and do at Stony Beach. Exploring the surrounding rocky flanks allows you to discover the diversity of marine flora and fauna. From rare bird sightings to unique sea creatures, you can embrace the beauty of nature.

Stony Beach is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit is during the summer months when the weather is warm and sunny. This allows you to enjoy a refreshing swim while basking in the sun.

To reach Stony Beach, you can either drive or walk. It's a short drive from Diggers Camp, which is approximately 15 minutes from the Yamba CBD. If you're coming from Diggers Camp, take the dirt track from Bare Point to access Stony Beach. Alternatively, you can walk along the beach from both Wilsons Headland and Bare Point.
