West Coast Wilderness Railway (Queenstown)

As you board the West Coast Wilderness Railway, you’re offered a choice of two carriages.

The Heritage Carriage offers upholstered seating and snacks for purchase, whilst the Wilderness Carriage comes with fully inclusive catering and a glass of Tasmanian sparkling wine. As you travel through the ancient rainforest, you’ll be treated to breath-taking scenery and entertaining commentary from onboard guides. They’ll share stories of the hardships of the railway’s construction and the people that called the wilderness their home. During your journey, you can choose to partake in activities such as honey tasting or gold panning, or simply take in the beauty of the rainforest with a short walk.
