Description

Leliyn, also known as Edith Falls, is a remarkable series of cascading waterfalls and pools located in the Nitmiluk National Park. The waterfall is 60 kilometers (37 mi) north of Katherine, in the Northern Territory of Australia.

The Aboriginal Jawoyn language's name for the falls is Leliyn.

The waterfall cascade down from an elevation of 176 meters (577 ft) above sea level and vary between 8.7–12 meters (29–39 ft) in height. Visitors can access the top of the escarpment via trails to experience an exceptional view of the waterfalls.

The Jatbula walk is a 66-kilometer (41 mi) trail that connects Edith Falls to Katherine Gorge. It is a fantastic way to explore the area, take in the incredible scenery, and appreciate the beauty of the landscape.

The Jawoyn people are the traditional custodians of the land surrounding the waterfall. Visitors are encouraged to experience their culture through various opportunities within the Nitmiluk National Park.
