Russell Falls

Russell Falls is a tiered-cascade waterfall located in the Central Highlands region of Tasmania, Australia.

The history of Russell Falls dates back to its original name, Brownings Falls, which was given by the discoverer. The falls reserve was established in 1885, and in 1899, the Russell Falls were chosen to be featured on a set of pictorial postage stamps promoting the tourism industry. Today, the natural beauty of the waterfall continues to attract visitors, while the scenic walking path and historic significance add to its allure.
