Description
The animal protection society helps bring abandoned pets back to health and then finds them a loving home.
The Animal Protection Society manages a refuge for approximately 65 adult cats, 24 dogs and up to 45 kittens (in kitten season). Our main goal is to care for the abandoned animals and find them a loving home with a responsible owner. We have a strict policy that no animal in our care is euthanased other than on the advice of a veterinarian. We receive no government funding and rely on donations, fundraising and membership fees.
In order to meet the ongoing costs of maintaining the refuge the Society constantly endeavours to raise funds with memberships, shopping centre promotions, animal sponsorship programs, sponsorship of a kennel, cattery or kitten shed, open days, Social events, raffles, annual street appeal, quiz night
