Yarrie Lake is a stunning natural wonder located just a few kilometres west of the scientific wonder of Australia Telescope.

It is a three-kilometre saucer-shaped expanse of water on the very edge of the Pilliga Forest, and it is thought to have been formed by a falling meteor many thousands of years ago.

Yarrie Lake is a veritable mecca for over 70 bird species, making it an excellent natural bird breeding ground.
