The City of Joondalup's Young Musician of the Year Award is an exciting and dynamic contest for musicians aged 14 to 25, featuring five distinct categories: Brass, Percussion, Strings, Woodwind, and Piano. With the winner taking home the title 'Young Musician of the Year', an exciting opportunity to perform with Perth Symphony Orchestra and a share of a $5000 prize pool.
This will be followed by a two-day musical showcase filled with surprises along the way, at the stunning Sacred Heart College theatre. The competition kicks off with the Semi-Final performances on Saturday, 5 October. One finalist from each category will advance to the Grand Final, where they will compete for the prestigious ‘City of Joondalup Young Musician of the Year Award.'
