Since launching in Ireland in 2017, Bingo Loco has attracted cult status as ‘the runaway child of traditional bingo’, travelling to cities to offer a truly unique night out.
Coming to Perth this February, Bingo Loco returns to Australia following sold-out shows around the globe, and is a bizarre, entertaining mix of action, glamour and confetti that is not to be missed.
Bingo Loco has been putting its trademark theatrical twist on your grandmother’s bingo, crossing the age-old game with a manic, colourful rave featuring everything from dance-offs, to lip sync battles, to parties between rounds. What begins as a normal game of bingo quickly becomes a full-blown party, featuring glowsticks and the occasional conga line.
But if you’re playing to win, Bingo Loco has all the heat of a regular bingo tournament, amped up to eleven. The stakes run high in this insane contest, with previous prize winners receiving everything from including trips to Vegas and Coachella, 1990s Gameboys, Beats headphones, convertible cars, boats and bags of rubbish (because who wouldn’t want to bag that). And if luxury goods (or rubbish) are not your thing, players are also offered the cash equivalent of their prize.
Wanting more than just the wild competition? In 2020, Bingo Loco partnered with Australia’s Make-A-Wish Foundation, meaning that all their shows now double as a fundraising effort! Make-A-Wish’s work makes an incredible difference in the lives of sick kids, granting their wishes and giving them hope for the future, and with all of the show’s ticket proceeds going towards the foundation, there’s never been a better excuse to get in on the game.
After its show at Jack Rabbit Slim’s in 2019 proved a sell-out, Bingo Loco’s awaited return hits Freo.Social on February 21st, and is sure to hit even greater heights.
