Whether you’re looking to escape the city, explore parts of Perth that you haven’t before or simply have fun with the family, there are a string of festivals to attend in Perth and beyond over the Easter long weekend. Showcasing everything from busking and water-sports to fruit harvests and sand sculptures, we’ve got the Scoop on all festivals to check out from April 19th – 22nd.

Splash Island

Get the family together and head to Sorrento Quay Boardwalk as the Splash Island Water Themed Amusement Park takes over the harbour, April 12th to 28th. Visitors can expect an action-packed day with bumper cars, water slides and much more. Feeling peckish after? Grab a multi-award winning pizza from Little C’s or spoil yourself with a scoop (or two) of ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s nearby.

Fremantle International Street Arts Festival

Australia’s largest street arts festival will hit the streets of Fremantle as incredible performers transform the city into a world busking stage from April 19th to 22nd. Take a stroll down Fremantle’s renowned Cappuccino Strip and while you’re there, grab a drink or bite to eat from one of the pop-up bars and eateries that will be open during this year’s International Street Arts Festival. Our top tip? Skip the hassle of parking and catch the train.

Wind on Water Festival

Thinking of escaping Perth for the Easter long weekend? Drive up the coast to Geraldton and attend its annual Wind on Water Festival, April 20th to 21st. On Saturday, watch sand sculpture guru Tim Darby as he creates a display highlighting some of Geraldton’s icons. You can also hear The Temper Trap, Tkay Maidza and more local bands live at a massive beachside concert on Sunday.

Donnybrook Apple Festival

Running from April 20th - 21st, the Donnybrook Apple Festival will give you the chance to taste fresh fruit harvested from the town’s locals, including wine and honey. Plus, there’s heaps of activities for the kids to enjoy with laser tag, a side show alley and a baby animal farm! Finish the day off with a bang with the South Western Times’ fireworks display on Saturday night.
