2022 has been a spectacular year for venues in Perth - and the new kids on the block are proving incredibly popular and serving some awesome food and drinks. Here's the five newly-opened venues in the heart of Perth CBD you must try.

Pizza

Pretty Good Pizza

153 Beaufort St, Northbridge

Bringing takeaway and dine-in pizza to Northbridge in an '80s New York pizza-joint style, Pretty Good Pizza sits alongside sister venue Ruinbar. Opened in August, this pizza shop is the brainchild of pizza afficionado Miles Hull - and promises Perth's best pizza (with vegan options included) and a quirky vending machine drinking experience with WA craft beers and canned wines on offer. Open until late, Wednesday to Sunday.

Restaurant

ANY

26 Queen St, Perth

Promising an 'elevated' dining experience, ANY serves food in a 'chef's counter' manner - with all ingredients prepared, cooked and served right in front of the diners in their open galley kitchen. Incorporating familiar yet distinct flavours, ANY's menu highlights produce like local fish, pork and chicken - and offers a four-course feed me menu to let the chefs take charge of your dining experience. Opened in the summer of 2022, this fine-dining experience enlists Perth hotshot chef Josh Gray (of Rockpool fame) to create ephemeal menus with flair. Open until late, Tuesday to Saturday.

Vincent Wine

Vincent Wine

465 William St, Perth

A double-duty restaurant and bottle shop, Vincent Wine serves Gallic and French bistro-inspired bites like steak tartare and charcuterie at the hands of chef Andre Mahe. With a curated ambient soundtrack of jazz and European tunes, Vincent Wine invites guests to relax an unwind with music, and their impressive 200-bottle wine list featuring French favourites and highlighting Australian and New Zealand producers. Open until 12am, Wednesday through Sunday.

Interior Restaurant

Terrarium

99 St George's Tce, Perth

If you find the idea of sipping a specialty cocktail in a luxury two-storey bar filled with plants and greenery appealing, then Terrarium is your next must-visit venue. Located centrally on St George's Terrace, Terrarium offers a comprehensive spirits list and a 'refined snack bar' menu, best enjoyed on their rooftop terrace. Opened in winter of 2022 and headed by David Stucken (one of Perth's best-loved bartenders of Long Chim renown), the cocktails on offer are best paired with fan-favourite bites like duck fat potatoes and pumpkin and goats cheese bruschetta. Open until late from Tuesday to Saturday.

Interior Restaurant

Tom’s Providore

290 Beaufort Street, Perth

From the owner of Leederville’s much-loved Tom’s Café comes Tom's Providore complete with a host of locally- and internationally-sourced cheese, meats and wines. Walk-ins are welcome and the venue offers a blend of European and Melbournian vibes, with coffees on offer in the morning and charcuterie, twice-cooked rosemary potatoes, and fluffy croquettes to pair with wines galore in the evening. If you'd like to continue the enjoyment after closing time, Tom's also offers a carefully curated selection of wines available to take home too. Open from 9am to 5pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and until late from Thursday to Sunday.
