This beautifully crafted kitchen from Western Cabinets oozes the traditional character of yesteryear, while maintaining the functionality of a modern-day kitchen design.

To fulfil the brief, every element had to be cleverly designed to integrate the client's selection of Gaggenau appliances in a practical working area, and to introduce a large central island and state-of-the-art scullery.

Being a narrow yet open-plan living area, the kitchen had to incorporate spatial planning by providing adequate clearances, cooking and cleaning areas, pantry and informal dining zones.

The feature chimney is imperative to forming the foundation of the traditional kitchen, and is complemented by the soft curves and corbel details of the cabinetry.

To maintain a clutter-free look, the scullery, positioned to the side, features a fridge recess, ample bench space for meal preperation, a prep sink, and instant hot and cold water tap.

A neutral palette of soft whites is used in combination with Calacatta marble splashbacks and flooring, alongside the warm tones of American Walnut timber floorboards.

The informal yet stylish diningbooth completes the space, upholstered in a stunning Armani fabric.
