Three amazing national and international Musica Viva performances coming to Perth

Musica Viva Australia are bringing three amazing classical music events to the Perth Concert Hall, starting with the Choir of King’s College, London in August. In September, maestro William Barton teams up with Ensemble Q for a concert of classical music fused with new sounds. In November, violin virtuoso Lina Tur Bonet graces the stage of the Concert Hall for the very first time in Musica Alchemica. Tickets for all performances are on sale now!

The Choir of King’s College, Cambridge

August 5

The Choir will perform beloved anthems and sacred works alongside two choral mainstays: Stravinsky’s Mass alongside a double wind quintet comprised of ten of Australia’s best instrumentalists; and Maurice Duruflé’s magnificent Requiem, a meditation on life and death for choir and organ. 

Every year on Christmas Eve, listeners around the world tune in to hear The Choir of King’s College, Cambridge celebrate the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. Now this unique and precious sound returns to Australia, with an exclusive Perth show on August 5. Tickets are selling fast.

Ensemble Q and William Barton

Old meets new and new meets old when a team of classical virtuosos team up with the sonic imagination of William Barton to explore Brahms, Ligeti and more.

Ensemble Q is a group powered some of Australia’s finest musicians, and who better to lead them than distinguished artist and composer William Barton? Their ear-catching program includes works by William Barton himself and Paul Dean alongside hand-picked masterpieces by Brahms and Ligeti, which promise to wrap audiences in a multi-faceted kaleidoscope of sound. Get tickets now!

November 15

Musica Viva Australia brings incredible violinist Lina Tur Bonet and her A-team of period-instrument professionals to Perth Concert Hall for an exclusive performance on November 15. 

Regarded as one of the most exciting violinists of her generation, Tur Bonet has delighted and fascinated fans across Europe with her performances ranging from Bach to Messiaen. Now she makes her Australian debut with Musica Alchemica, her hand-picked ensemble, to perform works by Corelli, Telemann, Biber and other Baroque classics. Get your tickets now!
