This year, Oktoberfest feels a bit like a never-ending event, with several of the usual festivities postponed and spaced out over multiple weekends of the month. On October 17, two of Perth's biggest Oktoberfest events are set to go ahead, so time to dust off those lederhosen and dirndls! Prost!

Ascot will be offering several packages on the day. Make the most of the sunshine with their Picnic at Ascot hamper or enjoy a private marquee or suite with friends and family.

Tickets for this event will be available at the door offering access to the racecourse with food and drink available for purchase from Ascots many vendors. Make sure to book ahead for any table restaurants and packages as this not to be missed day is in high demand.

Elmar's Oktoberfest in the Valley

Elmar’s in the Valley is known for hosting a great Oktoberfest shindig. This Saturday from 12.00am – 6.00pm Swan Valley’s largest Biergarten will be featuring some of the best German music and beer around.

With live music from Ben Merito & Polka Dots this event will also showcase traditional steins of Märzen Bier as well as Elmar’s specialties on tap.

If that’s not a good enough excuse to get dressed up in your favourite German garb there will also be a best dressed competition.
