We love any excuse to enjoy a cheeky G&T and thankfully, with World Gin Day coming up on June 12, we'll have plenty of reason to indulge. To help us celebrate the occasion, iconic gin bar The Flour Factory have launched their very own house gin, made especially for them by small-batch artisanal gin-makers Spirit of Little Things.
In homage to the incredible native flora and flavours of our country, the gin is made with three distinctively native Australian botanicals including Geraldton Wax, Desert Lime and Strawberry Gum. Served simply with a dash of tonic, you can really taste the flavours of this unique blend.
The gin will be available for you to try from June 12, where it will be served from the bar at The Flour Factory (and other Sneakers & Jeans venues), or, if you want the full experience, you can take advantage of the special gin events taking place at Perth's premier gin destination for World Gin Day. Gin-paired DinnerÂ
To celebrate World Gin Day, the team at The Flour Factory have organised a timely gin-inspired feast paired with gins made by Spirit of Little Things. Taking place from June 10 - 12, indulge in three courses with a different gin to accompany and bring out the flavours of each dish. You'll need to book your spot for this one here.
Gin MasterclassÂ
For those of you who are curious about what pairs well with different gin botanicals, you can join a Gin Masterclass on June 9 or 10. Hosted by the team at Spirit of Little Things, you'll get to sample three gins paired with premium tonics and garnishes. As part of the session, you'll be one of the first to sample The Flour Factory's new botanical gin. For more information and to book tickets, see here.
There'll also be a special edition of the Gin Masterclass running on June 12, which will take you through the rich history of gin, methods of production, and the various styles of gin that can be produced. During the session, you will get to enjoy tasters of four iconic gins from around the world. Gins will be accompanied by some sharing plates from their kitchen.
