New live music venue and nightclub The Sewing Room opens on Murray Street on Thursday 5 October.
Opening night will feature music from Hank, Almond Soy, Noah Dillon, Spencer Arbuckle and Holly Garvey among many other local bands.

The 330 capacity basement bar and club has been designed to give local musicians a fresh space in central Perth to bring their music to a new audience. As well as local talent, the venue hopes to attract national and international artists and DJs to its stage.

The much-anticipated Sewing Room Sessions will be held on Thursday nights with the first month of events featuring Big Orange, Fox Scully and many other local acts.

Although the focus is on live music, the venue will also offer classic club nights, DJs and dancing.

The building itself was previously home to the Pierucci fashion house, with the basement housing the garment sewing room from which the venue takes its name.

The Sewing Room opens at 317 Murray Street, Perth on Thursday 5 October.
