The long weekend is fast approaching and with it fun and festive Easter activities. With not one, but two public holidays stretching out this 4-day weekend, there is plenty of time to hunt for eggs, catch up over Easter-themed drinks, and indulge in decadent chocolate goodies. Here are our top picks for what you can get up to this Easter weekend.

Enjoy an Easter Cocktail or Two

Inspired by the biggest chocolate event of the year, Perth bar The Aviary are putting their own special twist on an old classic with their Eggspresso Martinis. Served up inside the shell of a giant chocolate Easter egg, there will be three delicious flavours to choose from - The Classic, The Creme and The Spiced. Pair this with one of their smores-like hot cross buns (filled with chocolate, melted marshmallow and vanilla bean ice cream) at one of their Death By Chocolate brunches, happening in the last two Sundays of April, or at their boozy Good Friday lunch.

Head across to Caballito for some more Easter cocktails, including their At It Like Rabbits frozen margaritas, made inside chocolate Easter bunnies exclusively available on Nacho Typical Thursday and Easter Saturday. Create your own Easter-themed cocktail over at Hadiqa rooftop for an Easter edition of their Cocktails on the Terrace mixology classes, with snacks available on entry and seasonal drinks available.

Easter Egg Hunt at Core Cider

The Easter Bunny will be paying a visit to Core Cider on Easter Sunday! Families bring your baskets and collect as many eggs as you can find in an epic Easter egg hunt around the venue, then settle down out on the Green with a picnic and some relaxing live music. Bring your best Easter parade costumes, as prizes will be awarded to the best dressed. Designed for little ones under 12 years old, this is a free family event though registration is required. Register here to join the hunt.

Catch an Easter-themed Outdoor Movie
