Wildlife Centres in Perth

Perth, Western Australia, offers a variety of wildlife centers and natural attractions for visitors to enjoy. Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary, located just outside of Perth, forms an important wildlife corridor along the Avon River, between Walyunga and Avon Valley National Parks. The sanctuary supports a rich diversity of habitats and has been the site of several successful mammal reintroductions, including the Black-flanked Rock-wallaby and the Tammar Wallaby.

Caversham Wildlife Park, owned and operated by a Western Australian family since 1988, houses the largest private collection of wildlife in Western Australia. With around 2000 individuals, the park is home to about 200 different species, offering a diverse range of wildlife experiences for visitors. Whiteman Park is a popular destination for nature and wildlife enthusiasts, featuring a variety of attractions such as Caversham Wildlife Park, as well as walking and cycling trails.

WA Wildlife, a not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to rescuing, treating, rehabilitating, and conserving native wildlife. The WA Wildlife Hospital admits more than 6500 animals each year across 280 different species. The organization also offers wildlife tours for adults and families, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the hospital and the opportunity to meet some of the resident animals.
