A frequent after-five watering hole for Perth corporates, The Stables Bar blends 19th century history with a fresh modern attitude.

As its name suggests, The Stables Bar was in fact a horse stables in its past life - one of the very first in Perth.

In 1894, local businessman Jonathon Butterworth purchased the site and began construction of the landmark residence, and in 1898 added a farm and hardware store.

In 2012, the building transformed into The Stables Bar, two levels of bar and dining experiences in a rustic, sophisticated setting.

Enter the cobblestoned courtyard and you are immediately transported away from the bustle of central Perth into a landscaped oasis - the perfect environment for socialising.

Head upstairs, and enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline, while indulging in a finely crafted cocktail and a tapas plate to share.

The staff's commitment to innovative food and seasonal produce shines through in all its dishes, whether you are ordering off the lunch, dinner, or all-day grazing menu.

The open-plan program presents a variety of function options for weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, corporate events, degustations, wine dinners or charity events with a twist.

Venue hire includes a portable microphone, wireless speaker and the use of TV screens for presentations in the dining room.

Whether it is laid-back or formal, The Stables Bar provides a casual, inviting atmosphere coupled with a high standard of service and delicious food at affordable prices.
