Regarded as one of the best independent film festivals in Australia, Revelation Perth returns in July 2024!
Taking place from July 3rd – 14th, this year’s Revelation Perth International Film Festival presents over 30 feature films and documentaries and as well as over 80 short films in a captivating program that promises to deliver unforgettable moments and thought-provoking narratives that will resonate with audiences long after credits roll.
With special events at the WA Museum Boola Bardip, Scitech, State Library of WA and the Perth Library, as well as the annual Industrial Revelations program designed for both emerging and established practitioners, the festival remains steadfast in its commitment to showcasing innovative storytelling and nurturing a vibrant local film community.
About Revelation
Revelation commenced its formal life in 1997 in the basement back room of the Greenwich Club, Perth’s legendary jazz venue.
All were presented on very beautiful, very analogue 16mm from the back of the room. No projection room, no digital sound. Experimental idea, 1 person, 2, projectors and 12 films.
Today, the event includes over 200 international films presented at cinemas and bars across Perth and Fremantle.
